British Airways is the flag carrier of the United Kingdom. Besides, it is the largest airline in the world due to their fleet size and international destinations and flights. The airline was founded in 1974, when the British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways combined their management service functions.
British Airways stayed 13 years as a state company but in 1987 the airline was privatised. Nowadays, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company is Keith Williams. British Airways counts with more than 270 aircrafts and around 170 destinations.
