E.ON is a german enterprise that provides of energy and electric utility. The company was created in 2000, after the merger of VEBA and VIAG. Thanks to this fusion was born one of the largest public services provider enterprise of Europe. The reason is that E.ON purchased important companies, such as Sydkraft in Sweden and Powergen in the United Kingdom.
Its head office is in Düsseldorf, Germany. Nevertheless, E.ON has established in strategic electric sectors in East Europe. For example, in Hungary, Poland, Bulgary, and Romania. It also has an important presence in Rusia.
E.ON’s executive director is Wulf H. Bernotat. The company has more than 93.000 employees and, in 2008, it had around 1.200€ earnings.
