Sky (whose complet name is British Sky Broadcasting Group) is a telecommunications service company. It offers satellite broadcasting, telephone and broadband services. The company was founded in 1990, after the merger of British Satellite Broadcasting and Sky Television.
Nowadays Sky is headquartered in London but it has operations both in the United Kingdom and in Ireland. Besides, Sky is the largest pay-TV broadcaster in the UK. It has more than 10 million suscribers.
Sky's chairman is Nicholas Ferguson and its Chief Executive Officer is Jeremy Darroch. The company employs around 24,000 people.
